Description
Stir-fried lo mein noodles with a colorful mix of vegetables and savory sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup bell peppers
- 1 cup carrots
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1 cup mushrooms
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 onion
- 8 oz lo mein noodles
- 2 cloves garlic
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
Instructions
- Step 1: Cook lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Step 2: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Step 3: Add onion and garlic and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until onion is translucent.
- Step 4: Add broccoli, carrots, bell peppers, and mushrooms. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Step 5: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil.
- Step 6: Pour sauce into the skillet or wok and stir to coat the vegetables.
- Step 7: Add cooked noodles to the skillet or wok and stir to combine with vegetables and sauce.
- Step 8: Season with salt and pepper to taste.
