Description
A classic Italian-style pizza topped with olive oil, garlic, and creamy mozzarella cheese
Ingredients
- 0.5 cups water
- 0.25 cup parsley
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1.5 cups flour
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 0.25 cup basil
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C)
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until yeast is activated
- Step 3: Add olive oil, salt, and 2 cups of flour to the bowl. Mix until a shaggy dough forms
- Step 4: Gradually add the remaining 1 1/2 cups of flour, one cup at a time, until the dough becomes smooth and elastic
- Step 5: Knead the dough for 10 minutes until it becomes shiny and smooth
- Step 6: Roll out the dough into a 12-inch circle, about 1/4 inch thick
- Step 7: Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone
- Step 8: Spread garlic evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2 inch border around the edges
- Step 9: Spread ricotta cheese over the garlic
- Step 10: Top with mozzarella cheese
- Step 11: Sprinkle parsley and basil over the top
- Step 12: Bake for 15-20 minutes until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted
